Pornography I believe it is a fact of life that all men are sexually aroused by pornography. It is up to each individual to decide for himself or herself whether or not he or she wants to read or look at pornography. It is equally a fact of life, that there are some who have discovered that only by the use of pornography of one kind or another can they have a satisfying sex life. sexual experience. This is a pity, but no-one will stop the tide of porn on the internet. Pornography should be kept out of reach of young children and teenagers who can and do get from it a wrong impression of what sex and love is all about, and condition them for life from responding to physical sex as the expression of emotional love and affection. Is it true that the vast bulk of written and visual pornography is produced for a male readership or audience? Or are women now better understanding and developing their own sexuality so they have discovered that they can respond to pornography with sexual arousal and interest. I asked the question of 200 women: Are you aroused by pornography of any kind? Of 200 women, 30 have never seen any pornography; 40 or so have seen it but either have not been sexually aroused or have been turned off. The remaining 130 (a little more than two-thirds) have read, or seen visual pornography and been sexually aroused by it. Here is what a few of them say about their responses to pornography, which are typical of many others. "Pornography is fairly new to me, and though I'm still not completely turned on by the movies I've seen, I'm finding the erotic effect to be increasing. I realized something that was interesting to me after watching the last sex movie. I had an urge to prove that I could have been even more exciting and sexually stimulating than the woman we had seen on the screen. Our lovemaking after viewing the pornography was highly satisfying to both me and my lover. However, i can see I might become suffer from porn addiction if I go on using it." "My response to pornography depends on my mood. My dependency needs extend to what I call my 'rape syndrome.' In certain moods the shock of pornography can, therefore, turn me on. Otherwise the sight of a cunt as big as a house is too big a shock. I've seen few films but I find that I have to make an initial adaptation to the ferocity of it, then the sordid aspect begins to grow on me, but it's somehow secondhand. I don't think I would get turned on very much by watching a 'live' show. I like to get, and do get, totally involved in lovemaking. Growing up for me meant this realization that it wasn't worth sleeping with people I didn't care about emotionally, because not only was I missing this sphere of involvement, but I also couldn't let myself go fully physically." "Not all pornography arouses me, but some does. One example stands out in my mind. A little while ago I went to stay with a friend who hadn't been married long. One day I was alone in the apartment and was straightening up her bedroom when I found a box containing their porn collection. The camera must have had an automatic shutter because there were many pictures of them engaged in all kinds of sexual activities. A high percentage showed acts of oral sex, and most of these were of my friend fellating her husband. Looking at them, I became extremely aroused. After that, whenever I was alone in the apartment, I would get them out and look at them again. Sometimes I even compulsively masturbated while I was looking at them." "Books have a terrific effect - the harder the porn the better. I am aroused by both written and photographic material-either heterosexual, or male homosexual, but not lesbian. Porn films have a slight effect provided I am with someone who is personally important to me. I wouldn't have the courage to go to a 'live' show, for fear of being recognized." "Yes, all pornography turns me on, but I've never seen a live show and have no desire to see one. Too embarrassing." 'I found some of this in my brother's room, showing people fucking and doing other things to one another. I learned a whole lot about sex from this stuff. Some of it showed girls not much older than me [16] getting fucked by boys the same age. That turned me on, believe me. The pictures of them playing with each other turn me on, too, most of all the ones where they are doing it to each other with their mouths." "The most arousing film I ever saw showed a superman being tied down by three girls, having his clothes cut off him while spread-eagled on a bed, and being devoured by the girls. I don't know how many times I watched this - I got so aroused I could climax in seconds! " "I like reading and am roused by any sort of porn. And I have to admit that I would love to see a live show between two males, or two females, or two men and two women (a foursome!) " "Only good photos turn me on, especially of nude males, front view, with large, low-hanging balls." "Written porn with some well-done pictures quickly makes me feel horny." |
